Weeping Willows

One of the most valuable traits of the willow tree is its flexibility. The unique, delicate branches and fluttering leaves make this one of the few trees that are capable of bending in extreme poses without snapping. This can be a powerful metaphor for times in life when we’ve been challenged to the point that we didn’t think we could take anymore, only to discover that we became stronger and more capable as a result of working through the challenge and stretching beyond our comfort zone. When we are strong inside we can be flexible and supple when unforeseen circumstances arise and greet them with radiance and gracefulness.
